Our stargazing events can be held anywhere with low light pollution. The Cairngorms National Park has vast areas of low light pollution and amazing vantage points, making it one of the best places in the world for stargazing. These events are tailor made to your requirements, you have the option to stay inside the vehicle or take a walk into the night, perhaps up a hill to give a greater vantage point and chance of seeing the aurora.

Included in your experience:

• Transportation from and to your accommodation

• Hot drinks and snacks (a choice from mulled punch, hot chocolate, etc)

• Picnic on request at an additional cost

• Hot highland cows, who wouldn’t like to keep warm cuddling a highland cow (not a real one…)?

• Cosy blankets

• Deck chairs or roll mats - depending on location

• Dark Skies presentation by a qualified Star Ranger (also a Mountain Leader and First Aider)

• Night vision scopes for wildlife watching too

• Binoculars for star gazing

Professional astrophotography tuition is available on request too.

Please note, if the weather forecast changes and we have agreed the date, the event will still go ahead. The Dark Skies presentation requires no stars!

Electronic participation forms and kit lists will be sent out before the event.

Please have a look in our shop, we can post or deliver items to you at the event. All participants receive a 15% discount on goods (except gift vouchers, sale items and books).
