Bidean nam Bian and the Hidden Valley

Join us for a guided walk in Glencoe to the stunning Munros, Stob Coire Sgreamhach (1072m) and Bidean nam Bian (1150m), including a return via the Lost Valley of Glencoe. Bidean nam Bian (peak of the mountains) is the appropriately named as it’s the highest peak in the area and can offer superb views on a good day

There are some steep rocks ascents, with easy mild scrambling. The descent into the Lost Valley is also steep and loose but good fun and well worth the visit.

Munros:

• Biean nam Bian (peak of the mountains) - 1150m

• Stob Coire Sgreamhach (peak of the horrible corrie) - 1072m

Meet Time, Location & Estimated Walk Duration

Meet at the Lost Valley car park at 8am for an 8:15am start.

This walk can take 7-9 hours depending on the weather and group. Distance – 11km, total ascent – 1360m, A good level of fitness is required (not a beginners walk).

Joining Details & Kit

Joining details, participation forms and kit lists will be sent out the week before the walk. Please note, if choosing the April date there still may be snow on the mountain and appropriate kit may be required.
