Bynack More

Join Hillgoers for a guided walk up Bynack More (1090m), a beautiful conical Munro that rises above Strath Nethy and the hills that flow towards Tomintoul. The hill provides excellent views due to its position at the north east end of the Cairngorms.

The walk starts from the Allt More car park where you’ll pass through the pines of Glenmore up to the famous An Lochan Uaine, the green lochan. From there we’ll walk up towards Ryvoan, joining the Lairig an Laoigh path up towards Bynack More. Depending on conditions on the day, after we visit the top, we will go and explore the granite tors situated on the north of the hill. The Sabhalan Beithneag or Barns of Bynack, are an impressive set of granite tors that are bigger and steeper than most other tors in the Cairngorms.

Meet at the the Allt More car car park 8:45am for a 9:00am start.

Total distance up to 24km, 750m ascent.

Estimated duration 7-8 hours
