Torridon Weekend

This weekend trip into the Torridon mountains offers you the opportunity to join us and be expertly guided in one of Scotland’s finest hillwalking areas, with sublime scenery and fantastic ridge walking on a good mix of terrain. Please be aware this walk involves some scrambling and some steep, exposed terrain. A good level of fitness and hill walking experience is recommended, get in touch if you would like to discuss.

This walk is limited to 4 participants.

Saturday - Liathach

On Saturday morning you will meet at 8.30am and walk up Liathach (grey one), one of Scotland’s most adored mountains and ridge walks. The walk involves some mild scrambling and steep, exposed terrain in places. The ridge contains two Munros, Spiedean a’ Choire Leith (1055m, peak of the grey corrie) and Mullach an Rathain (1023m, summit of the row).

• Height gain ~ 1320m

• Duration of walk 8-10hrs

Sunday - Beinn Alligin

On Sunday you will be guided along another magnificent ridge walk, Beinn Alligin, meaning mountain of beauty or jewelled mountain, either way it’s name is well deserved. This walk also contains two Munros, Tom na Gruagaich (922m, hill of the damsel) and Sgurr Mhor (986m, big peak).

• Walk distance - 10km

• Height gain ~ 1140m

• Duration of walk 6-7hrs

Accommodation

There is no overnight accommodation included. Participants can choose their own, you might like to consider;

• Bringing a campervan

• Torridon Youth Hostel | Hostelling Scotland

• Accommodation in nearby villages Shieldaig and Kinlochewe

• Torridon camp site - free site with public conveniences and free showers, no vans, caravans or campervans allowed.

• Shieldaig camp site - with showers and some glamping pods

Joining Details & Kit

Meet up details, participation forms and kit lists will be sent out in the weeks before the walk. Please have a look in our shop, we can post or deliver items to you at the event. All participants receive a 15% discount on goods (except gift vouchers, sale items and books)
